You download an image, try to upload it to a form, and get the error: "File format not supported. Please upload a JPG or PNG." But your file is a .heic from your iPhone, or a .webp from Google.

The Image Converter solves this incompatibility. It translates pixel data from one container format to another instantly.

Supported Formats Explained

1. HEIC (High Efficiency Image File)

Apple's modern format. It is half the size of a JPEG with better quality. However, Windows and many websites still cannot open it. Our tool converts HEIC to universal JPG.

2. WebP

Google's format for the web. It supports both transparency (like PNG) and compression (like JPEG). However, older versions of Photoshop don't support it.

3. SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) to PNG

SVG is code, not pixels. Sometimes you need to "rasterize" an SVG logo into a PNG to use it as a profile picture on social media (which doesn't accept vector files).

When to Use What?

  • Use JPG: For photographs, portraits, and scenery. Small file size, no transparency.
  • Use PNG: For logos, flat art, screenshots, and anything requiring transparency.
  • Use GIF: Only for simple animations. It is limited to 256 colors.

Batch Processing

Got 50 travel photos in HEIC format? You don't want to convert them one by one. Our tool supports batch selection, allowing you to drag and drop an entire folder and download a ZIP of converted JPEGs.
